Starting this week, your student will be sent home their weekly grades from Friday Assessments. These Assessments are taken directly from instructions and skills presented to them throughout the week. They must be signed and returned the following school day. Expect to see weekly FCAT Assessment grade, Spelling test grades, Math Assessment grades, and Language Arts grades each week. Depending on our planning schedule, your children will also be given Science and Social Studies grades.

Our goal is to give your child the needed skills and academic confidence to be successful in second grade and prepare them for success in third grade. One way we can do this is to keep communication open with our parents and to keep you informed of your child's progress.

Thank you,
Your second grade team,
Mrs. Thomas and Ms. Morgan

Angel Tree: For REA families

Please stop by the office and grab an angel from the tree. All these families are from our school. We see them everyday. Let's help them have a happy holiday. If you are unable to do an angel by yourself, please email me at chenry427@yahoo.com and I can pair up 2 families to get an angel completed. Also, if you do not have time to do the shopping, but would like to make a donation, I would be happy to do the shopping for a special angel pick. Just contact me at the above email address.

All gifts should be wrapped and returned to the office by December 14th with the angel you picked off the tree on top.

Our classroom is in need of Kleenex. Please send in a box ASAP.

The Fall Festival at Valentine Park was a huge success. The kids had a great time playing games and celebrating the season. The kids got to have sack races, a spoon relay, pumpkin bowling, parachute fun, line dancing and so much more. Thank you to all the parents who helped put together this great day.
